Katheryn Ward serves as the president of K&G Global Institute, an institute of higher learning, and is responsible for the overall management of the organization. She served as chief executive officer of K&G Global Initiative, a non-profit, 501©3 education and training organization.

A native of Murphysboro, Illinois, Katheryn Ward first graduated from Olive-Harvey College in Chicago, receiving her AA in Business, Olive Harvey College; B.A. in Business Administration. She then attended Roosevelt University, where she received her M.S. in International Business and post-graduate Leadership Studies Program at Union Institute. Ward has earned a Teaching Entrepreneurship Certificate, Batten Institute, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia; Art and Craft of Case Writing Certificate, Harvard Business School and a Leadership Development Certificate, Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.

“Professor Ward”, as she likes to be addressed as, has spent most her professional career in the field of higher education. She served as Associate Professor of Marketing, Chairperson of Management, Marketing and Information Systems Department, and Assistant To/Assistant Dean in the College of Business at Chicago State University. In 1999, Ward accepted the position of Dean of Continuing Education at Kennedy-King College and, in 2001, she returned to Chicago State University’s College of Business and was given additional responsibilities as the Director of the Global Business Program of Chicago State University’s South Africa Area Initiative–sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development.  Under this Initiative and in conjunction with faculty and administrators from the University of Zululand, Mangosuthu Technical College, and Mobeni FET College, Ward assisted in strengthening the business curricula, developed an entrepreneurial studies program for the participating institutions, established an exchange program for students and faculty, worked with tribal authorities and the business community to build capacity for universities and colleges and developed an entrepreneurial training program for women in the rural areas of Durban and Empangeni.

Prior to founding K&G Global Initiative, Professor Ward was Vice President of the Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce and  Director of Education and Training Programs. She then served as President of Cosmopolitan Chamber Foundation.
